What We Do

Cloud Utility District (CloudD) provides businesses with a reliable, scalable, and easy-to-use connectivity platform. We give you the device connectivity, backend infrastructure, and development tools (dashboards & APIs) to build powerful connected products, services, and applications.

Cloud Utility District's platform makes it possible to completely avoid the hassle and complexity of building your own back end connectivity or worrying about scalability issues.

Virtually any sort of connected product you can think of can be built and powered by CloudD. Connected car applications, smart meters, wearables, industrial monitoring and control, remote asset monitoring, in-home care, farming automation.

Our platform is end-to-end, meaning we are a one-stop-shop for your IOT needs, providing device connectivity and control, back end infrastructure, and front end APIs and dashboards.

Who We Are

Our team consists of experienced software engineers that have previously worked on large scale networking projects at telecommunication firms, software companies, and government agencies.

We have extensive expertise in Machine to Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IOT) communication and control, scalable message passing frameworks, and push-to-talk technologies.

CloudD was founded in 2014 and is built on the foundation provided by two software framework products developed and refined over multiple years at Binary Systems by Ed Buchwalter, our CTO. We are located in Bellevue, Washington.

Together, these products, appCORE and openACTOR, provide the message passing infrastructure, multi-core processor support, and scalable building blocks that make Cloud Utility District a powerful connectivity platform for the Internet of Things, mobile, and web applications.
